Welcome to District 14-H

We are the 29 Lions clubs and 4 LEO clubs of District 14-H within Lackawanna, Susquehanna, Wayne and Wyoming counties who serve their communities with heart and respect. We are chartered under Lions Clubs International; founded in 1917 by businessman Melvin Jones in Chicago, Illinois. We are 1.4 million members strong in 210 countries and our motto is “We Serve”.

In 1925, during the Lions International Convention, Helen Keller requested that Lions become the Knights of the Blind. From that time forward, Lions Clubs International has forged into unknown territories, providing countless free eye screenings, funding eye research, going into 3rd world countries to help with vision loss and impairments. But “We Serve” does not stop there; for the Lions also became involved with hearing research and deafness, reading programs, clothing and food banks, sponsoring little leagues, the scouts and other various youth groups. Fundraising and giving a helping hand to neighbors after floods, fires and other catastrophes. As we serve, a Lion’s heart will always show. If you are interested in becoming a Lion, please view the list of clubs in our district to see which is nearest to you. If the club does not have an active link, please use the “Contact Us” link and we will provide you with that information.

Thank you,
District Governor Cathy
